The Coggins test is for Equine Infectious Anemia (EIA) that is endemic to the US. We offer two types of in-house Coggins testing: AGID and ELISA. AGID is a 24 hour test.  ELISA's are a 2 hour test ran on request.

Health certificates are normally purchased at the same time as blood is pulled for Coggins testing. In Kentucky, it is valid for 1 year (365 days) from the date it was issued. If a health certificate is written for outside Kentucky, then it is only valid for 30 days. We can write one certificate for multiple horses.
